About this desk
- What you use it for
- Convert sats, gas units, and unix time in the browser when you do not need a live price.
- What the numbers are
- The math stays on this page. A sat is one hundred-millionth of a bitcoin. Gas is the units you type. Unix time is seconds since 1970.
- What it leaves out
- Nothing here asks a price API. Dollar cost of a send is on the send-cost desk, which does use live prices.

How to read this
- Sats
- One bitcoin is 100,000,000 satoshis. Divide the sats by that number. 10,000 sats is 0.0001 BTC.
- Gas
- Ether paid is gas units times gwei, divided by 1,000,000,000. A plain transfer is 21,000 gas. This does not know today’s gwei. Type the gwei from the gas desk.
- Unix time
- The box is seconds since 1970-01-01 UTC. The line under it is that instant as UTC. It does not call a server.
