The fee market and the latest blocks, plus a lookup. Paste a height, a 64-character txid or block hash, or an address. An address says whether the coins are confirmed or still in the mempool. Dollar cost next to Ethereum is on send cost. The subsidy countdown is on halving. The waiting queue is on mempool. Fee share of the latest rewards is on miner take. Who found the week’s blocks is on mining pools. Daily addresses, MVRV, and exchange flows are on on-chain.

About this desk

What you use it for
Use this for the Bitcoin fee you would pay, the latest blocks, and a lookup. Paste a height, a 64-character txid or block hash, or an address.
What the numbers are
Fees and blocks come from mempool.space. An address shows confirmed and mempool balances. The line under the fees compares the hour rate with the floor of the projected blocks. Dollar figures use the CoinGecko price of the moment.
What it leaves out
A mempool amount is not confirmed. The next-block line is a projection. Daily addresses and exchange flows are on the on-chain desk, not here.

Every desk is introduced the same way on the desk list.

Fee market

Sat/vB is the price of one virtual byte of block space. Fee in sats is that rate times the transaction’s vbytes. Fastest is the quote mempool.space expects to clear soonest. Economy is the cheap end and can wait. A normal one-input payment is about 140 vbytes.

Next difficulty

This epoch is 86.1% complete. 280 blocks remain, about 46.6 hours, retargeting at height 969,696. Mempool estimates difficulty up 0.28%.

86.1% of this epoch

Difficulty changes every 2,016 blocks, about two weeks when blocks take ten minutes. Blocks faster than that push the estimate up, slower blocks push it down. 0.28% is mempool.space’s estimate from the blocks mined so far. The final change is set at the retarget, not now.

How to read this

Confirmed and mempool
A confirmed balance is already inside a block. A mempool amount has been broadcast and is waiting for a miner. Incoming coins that are still unconfirmed can be replaced or dropped, so do not treat them as received.
Where a fee lands
The line under the fee market compares the hour rate with the minimum fee in mempool.space’s next projected blocks. Fitting the next block means that rate is at least the floor of the first projection. Sitting further back means you are paying under the blocks in front of you.
A transaction lookup
Value is the sum of the outputs. The fee is what the sender paid miners, in sats. Unconfirmed means there is no block time yet.
