Funding carry

The hourly funding prints Hyperliquid already published, added up. A positive rate means longs paid shorts that hour. The snapshot of the current hour, open interest, and day volume is on funding. Futures basis is on futures.

About this desk

What you use it for
Use this when you want the funding a perpetual already charged, not only the hour that is on now. Pick bitcoin, ether, solana, or another Hyperliquid name, and 7 or 30 days.
What the numbers are
Each print is the hourly funding fraction Hyperliquid published. The average is those hours. Added up is the sum of the fractions, as a percent. Longs paid is the share of hours that were positive. Scatter is the sample deviation of those hours. The year figure repeats one hour 24 times 365. A positive rate means longs paid shorts.
What it leaves out
This is not a wallet balance and it ignores trading fees. A name Hyperliquid does not list comes back empty. The live hour, open interest, and day volume stay on the funding desk.

Every desk is introduced the same way on the desk list.

How to read this

Added up
+0.502% is the sum of each hourly funding fraction, times 100. It is what a long would have paid, or received if negative, before fees, on a position held through every print. It is not a wallet balance.
A year
The year figure takes one hour and repeats it 24 times 365. The average uses the hours in this window, not a promise that the next hour matches. The current board, without history, is the funding desk.
The hours
91% of these hours were positive, so longs paid shorts that often. The widest hour was +0.0090% and the quietest was -0.0016%. Scatter is the sample deviation of the hourly rates, in the same percent units. It describes this window. It is not a forecast.
